Gentlemen’s Choice Barber-Stylist Rt. 40 W

I have been consistently having Rachael cut my hair. Always an excellent job and is very friendly during the appointment. I have had to go to other barbers in the shop and never gotten a bad cut from any of them.I would recommend calling for an appointment as they can get quite busy. Prices are reasonable and the location is convenient.

The lady onwer and women Stylist don't wear a black uniform over their clothes ,like you see at high end shops on TV and around the City of Frederick MD. *† The ladies who work there sometimes look like they just came from the Gym. Sometimes they have a lady who put you on the waiting list when you first walk in but never tell you or anyone that they are running behind, . The girls that are employees talk too much about their personal life instead of giving more attention to their clients. ** They need to have some acknowledge as soon as you come into the hair salon and not wait 30 to 45 minutes for them to even notice you or say something to you. They the employees need to make changes ASAP. I have read other reviews about this Establishment, and they are saying that that girls or stylist do talk too much about their own personal events.Most people do not want to hear it. Pluse when a stylist is waiting for her next appointment, instead shooting the bull, she could be cleaning the floor and check on the people waiting up front for someone to cut their hair. Some people instead of waiting will take the first Stylist available. When the stylist do pay attention to you they give a good quality haircut or style cut. *** These simple improvements need to Happen ASAP.

I used to go to the location off 7th Street but sadly they closed. I tried this location on 40 and am equally happy here. The only thing I would wish they could fix is the amount of scented products they use as it is tough for those of us with allergies and asthma. A bit better ventilation would be nice. Cuts are always good and priced reasonably. Never waited too long to just walk in.

Great service. I have gotten my hair cut hair here for the past few times and Rachel has always been very receptive to my requests.

If you have the patience to wait for a barber for 45-50 minutes-still don't go. When one barber was sitting in his chair on the phone the whole time. Another was talking to a parent about her 10k wedding while cutting a teenager's hair for over 30. Another barber n the end was cutting a guys hair while shooting the bull for the entire 45-50 min. and still not done. Meanwhile the owner/manager was in the back cutting hair and letting this go on. Go to All About Men instead.

My husband made his first appointment for one of the stylists earlier this week. When he arrived at 9:15 a.m. he was told that the stylist had called off. When he asked the person who was there why he wasn't called to inform him not to come, he was told they don't usually do that. Well, that's just bad customer service, isn't it? He provided his number when he made the appointment so why wouldn't any of that stylist's customers be informed not to come in? I know the place I go to get my haircut informs me if my stylist isn't going to be able to see me the day of my appointment. No consideration at all! Not going back.

Absolutely great atmosphere in this barber shop. The staff is always friendly and Mo & Mandy are always smiling and laughing. Keep up the great job!
