The Institute for Conscious Being in Anniston AL, believes that the more people who are conscious, the less conflict, and suffering there will be. ICB provides educational and other activities in several venues. The Institute also certifies persons at different levels of competency, in the Spirituality of Enneagram and Consciousness Studies.
Dr. Joseph Benton Howell, founder of The Institute for Conscious Being and a graduate of Stamford University, Yale & The University of Virginia. Dr. Howell has been practicing Clinical Psychology since 1980 in Anniston Alabama.
The mission of The Institute for Conscious Being is to awaken and deepen consciousness in ourselves and the world. They do this in a variety of in-person educational events, on-line offerings, and publications. Underpinning our teachings is the wisdom of the Enneagram as well as spiritual practices, the arts, and scientific principles.
